Romantic Miami Outdoor Wedding

Everything about this intimate wedding was a personal touch to them.  The foot washing ceremony during their ceremony in the park, the groom's accessories paying homage to his heritage, reception in the bride's family home, live paining (a nod to the mother of the bride - a talented artist), and the mariachi band that got the party started (another cultural extension of them).  The way a celebration of the union of two people should be.  It was beautiful.

intimate artists' wedding

Both artists in their own ways, Jess & Royce created such a personal and aesthetically intriguing celebration of their union.  Jess made the macrame wall hanging that served as the backdrop to their nuptials - beyond impressed and so honored they connected with me enough to select me to document this day.

Fun fact - the couple and I are all from Miami (though we didn't know each other when we lived there) but none of us lived there at the time they planned their wedding.  They lived in Portland and I'd moved to LA yet we still connected.
